Meet Our Partners and Senior Staff
Carl
B. Wootten,
Managing Member, was Director of the University of California's Office
of Technology Transfer. Under his leadership, the University's income
from licensing and royalties increased from $9 million to more than
$50 million in five years. Previously, Mr. Wootten was President and
CEO of University Technology Corporation, a company specializing in
technology transfer. A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, he also
served as Director of Patent Administration for Duke University and
Executive Director of the University of Virginia Alumni Patents Foundation.
Ernst Ringle,
Managing Partner, is the retired President and Chief Executive Officer of Noell, Inc., an engineering and plant construction company located in Herndon, Virginia with annual revenues of $100 million. He was President and CEO of the company since its inception in 1990. Prior to joining Noell, Inc.'s parent company, Preussag Noell, Mr. Ringle was Vice President of Stone & Webster International Corporation in Boston, Massachusetts. He has held Senior Engineering and Construction Management positions with Motor-Columbus AG and Swiss Boring of Switzerland, with Binnie & Partner of England, and Chas. T. Main of the US for major power generating projects in the US, Latin America, Africa, Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. Mr. Ringle holds a degree in Civil Engineering (MS) from the College of Engineering of the University of Kaiserslautern in Germany and is a registered professional engineer in the State of Massachusetts. He is fluent in English, German, and Spanish and practiced in French and Portugese.
Stanley
P. Fisher,
Partner, holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and J.D. from
the University of Maryland. Mr Fisher has extensive international
experience in all phases of intellectual property practice and negotiation
of license agreements, as well as setting up high technology companies.
In addition to his duties at DeltaTech International, he is currently
the Managing Partner of the Intellectual Property Department of the
prestigious Virginia law firm of Hazel & Thomas. Mr. Fisher was
the founding partnerof one of the largest patent law firms in the
Washington D.C. area, was co-founder of University Technology Corporation
and co-founded and chairs Danby, N.A., which licenses and commercializes
Australian technology in the U.S. and Canada. He was also the founder
and president of Quorum International, Inc. which compiled and published
a three volume guide to technology transfer for the top 150 US universities
and three newsletters on technology available for license.
Saied Banafshe
Senior Technology Manager , Holds a BEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Liverpool JM University in England and a Masters Degree in Management from the University of Maryland in the U.S. He serves as Senior Technology Manager at DeltaTech International. Prior to joining DeltaTech International he was a Senior Product Manager with Sprint leading a team of development engineers in the design of Sprint's Application Infrastructure Management platform. Before joining Sprint Mr. Banafshe held senior positions with the Gartner Group and Foster Wheeler Petroleum Development of the U.K. Mr. Banafshe is a registered Professional Engineer with the Institute of Electrical Engineers in England .
Cedric DuBard
Senior Technology Manager, Holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Temple University and a Masters degree in International Management from the University of Maryland .
Prior to joining DeltaTech Mr. DuBard was employed by the ChevronTexaco Corporation as a Sales Support Analyst in the Chevron Energy Solutions business unit. Before joining ChevronTexaco, Mr. DuBard was an Industry Analyst with the Intellibridge Corporation in Washington , D.C. where he focused on the global consumer products, energy and aerospace sectors and wrote daily briefings and reports for the senior level management of Fortune 500 companies such as Boeing and Proctor & Gamble and flag officers of a key United States Navy command.
